The growth in the number of Muslims in our community has been matched by an increase in their needs. The Number of Muslims praying Al jumuah (friday Congregation) has increased by at least ten times. Not only the numbers have increased, but the support they require from the Mosque has changed as well. Mulsim families need Quranic studies and their children need islamic schools. Realising these needs, the Liverpool Muslim Society has decided to finish the project of the Mosque. To financially support this project, a fundraising committee was setup.

As you all know, we have been starting to collect funds to build the new two storeys. Al Hamdulilah, with the help of Almighty Allah and the local community, the target given by the company has been achieved which is to have £300,000 before the end of June 2007. The amount collected so far is around £385,000. Al Hamdulilah this amount continues to grow as more pledges are made.

 The board is very grateful for the outstanding effort and generous donation of our brothers and sisters. Please remember, this is only the beginning.

our goal is to have around £950,000 to finish the building of our new community, our new future, our masjid.

A fundraising event was held on 30th June 2007. The events, organised by some sisters, may Allah reward them for their great effort, were successful. Another fundraising event will be held again in August Insha Allah.
