The Liverpool Muslim Society provides support to all members of the Muslim community and organises activities that appeal to the diverse members of the wider community. Some of the key services the LMS provides, include: - Advice and guidance on Islamic matters
- Children classes
- Provision of a Day Centre for older Muslims
- Hosting an Islamic awareness week
- Hosting school visits to the Mosque (by prior arrangement)
- Inviting external speakers
- Marriage contracts "Nikhah"
- Prayer facilities at the Mosque
- Raises finances for day to day management through donations
- Social visits/ day outs to other places of interest
- Arranging sports events
- Study circles
- Women's group
GOVERNANCE The Liverpool Muslim Society is governed by 20 trustees including 4 women. 12 of the trustees are elected by the members. The constitution provides transparent guidelines to trustees in carying out their responsibilities effectively. The Trustees meet regularly and matters affecting the members and wider community are discussed at meeting. The members are informed of developments via regular announcements at friday Prayer. In addition periodical newsletter is distributed widely.
