With the grace and mercy of Allah, we are now approaching the final stages of the expansion project. We apologise for the delay and inconvenience caused during the works. The alteration to the original plan which includes re-positioning of the fire escape has now been granted planning permission. The foundations and the structural steel frame is now complete. The alteration has freed up a considerable percentage of the floor space on all three floors. 
Since our previous update, all the major works are complete including the installation of the under floor heating system on all three floors, all electrical wiring and fire detection system, air condition system, mechanical ventilation, sound system with added flexibility on all three floors, tile and marble work to the stairwell and the main prayer hall, painting, chemical spray to external walls to repel water, all internal doors and new large openings into existing building. We now await for our new external doors and carpet together with the new fire escape. Insha Allah we will begin to fully utilise the building on completion of the fire escape. The project has now been extended to include the much needed renovation of the existing building. These works should cause minimal disruption however it requires all to be safety conscious. Replace all windows with new double glazed windows

New timber skirting together with boxing of exposed pipes

New carpet
The first floor will be similarly renovated. The architect will be preparing plans for the external landscaping and new boundary fence. The existing toilets and wash facilities have also been considered but haven’t been included in the program as yet. The new facilities require considerable alterations and unfortunately we can not include this until further funding is raised. We trust that all brothers and sisters will continue to donate generously for our Masjid which Insha Allah will be used for many generations to come. Recommend this article... |
